November Guest Speaker – David W. Smith

david

Our November guest speaker was David Smith who started out as a photojournalist in 1987. He worked for a time for the Ft. McMurray Today and the St. Albert Gazette. He eventually headed to Asia where he worked for the Taiwan News. He has also lived and worked in Hong Kong and Bangkok. In addition to his newspaper work David has worked as a freelance photographer and in writing, teaching and editing. He is the author of the book “Hello Taiwan”.

David’s presentation focused on his work in Asia, showing us slides of his work over there including his award winning slide show of the Taiwan earthquake.
