The St. Albert Photography Club (SAPC) has been a thriving organization since 1992. We welcome photographers of all ages and skill levels. The only prerequisite is a love for photography.
Our aim is to offer a place for photo enthusiasts to learn and to share across the diverse realms of photography. The club meets 7 pm at the St. Albert Inn on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesday of each month, September to June.
We have an exciting year ahead, with a variety of guest speakers on the second Wednesday of the month, and workshops targeting a variety of skill levels on the third week of the month. The fourth week of each month is our “Submissions Night”, a friendly competition, with both themed and open categories. It’s a great way to show your personal flavour of photography as well as receiving positive critiquing on your work. And sometimes we have prizes! Aside from the workshops the club also plans photo field trips throughout the year. We keep the Club’s CALENDAR up to date, but some field trips are spur of the moment, and will be announced via email communications to all members. So keep your eyes peeled and your gear ready to go.
New members are always welcome! Come check us out in person, or CONTACT us. Membership dues are yearly; $50 in September to December, or $25 if it is after January 1st. Of course, you can come as a guest for two meetings to give us the twice-over, just to see how you like the club. Once you are a paid member you can submit your photos for Submissions Nights as well as vote for your favourites. Looking forward to seeing you there!
