Picture For A Simple Title
PicFAST = “Picture For A Simple Title”
For the 2024/2025 season, the St. Albert Photography Club has launched a new activity for our members. Each month, a “title” is announced to our members and they are given the next 3 or 4 weeks to create an image that they think fits the title. We ask them to make a “Picture For A Simple Title”.
This is a monthly motivator for our members to take photos, drone shots, computer AI prompts, etc – just create! Any method of image creation is allowed! So if some of our members want to submit an image created solely by AI (Artificial Intelligence) engines, then we encourage them to do so.
The titles for this coming year are not your typical “theme”! The titles will first make our members think about “what to shoot” – then “how to shoot it” (i.e. Macro, long exposure, panning, ICM, Black and White, etc). Aside from “getting off the couch” to create, the really cool thing about this challenge, is that we hope to end up with a huge variety of images based on the interpretation of the artist! We expect very interesting and diverse takes, in the meaning of the monthly title.
We have made it clear to our members, that this is NOT a competition! There are no prizes, no gift cards, no voting; and the only accolades will be from their fellow members saying – “What an awesome image! Neat interpretation!” along with the posting of all submitted images for the general public to view!
This is the PicFAST gallery!
Enjoy.
